Description
We are searching for a QA Engineer who can truly take ownership of product quality – someone who takes pride in shipping a quality product that enables our employees and clients to be successful. The right candidate will be curious, a strong problem solver, highly organized and detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Self starter with a "can-do" attitude
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive set of tests for our web-based application
- Work with users to reproduce bugs and log proper bug reports
- Collaborate with engineering to validate bugs and get them fixed
- Assist product and engineering teams to define requirements
- Run manual test scripts and maintain automated testing scripts
- Analyze failed tests and manage defects using the bug reporting tool
- Perform extensive functional, integration, security and UI testing
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques. Mercury tools preferred
- 3 or more years experience testing database driven web applications
- 3 or more years experience writing automated tests for web applications
- Solid experience writing test cases and test plans
- SQL database skills (writing queries, interpreting results)
- Basic knowledge of Linux a plus
- Experience with open-source testing tools such as Fit, FitNesse and/or Canoo WebTest
- Programming/scripting in any language a plus
- Some knowledge of sponsored search (i.e. Google AdWords, Overture) a plus
