Description

The Product Manager position is a highly visible and rewarding role within a rapidly growing venture-backed startup at the intersection of the online video advertising and media industries.  The Product Manager has responsibility for guiding development and internal/external education of the Company’s publisher and advertiser data-focused product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Help devise, guide and maintain a market-driven product roadmap for the Company data/reporting/analytic products that underpins the overall business strategy and goals of the Company.
  • Develop a deep understanding of advertiser and publisher video advertising and data/reporting/analytic needs and requirements, as well as industry best practices and trends, through research and close collaboration with internal business teams and existing client base.
  • Coordinate with the Company’s business and engineering teams in defining, scoping, designing and building best-of-breed data/reporting/analytic product features, helping to translate business requirements into tangible, well-defined functional product requirements and specifications for the engineering team.
  • Work within the Company’s Product team to establish best practices in use of the Company’s products and help define and evangelize product features for the Company’s advertiser and/or publisher client base.
  • Educate and train internal business teams on product best practices and key benefits and features.  Lead product demonstrations for internal and external clients.
  • Ensure usability and scalability of designed products and product features.
  • Research and track competitive landscape for online video advertising and data/reporting/analytics.
  • Work with the Company marketing personnel to position and sell the Company’s products to advertisers and publishers.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2 + years of product management and/or product marketing experience within the internet/internet advertising industry and at least 2 + years of data/reporting/analytic experience
  • Expertise with one or more of the following publisher ad serving technologies:  DFP, OAS, Atlas AdManager, or AdTech
  • Experience with online video and/or rich media preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage multiple internal and external relationships
  • A solid business background (MBA a plus), comfort with business analytics, and a sound, intuitive feel for business
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; active listening abilities
  • Superior project management skills with the ability to think strategically and work tactically
  • A "can-do" attitude with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic; comfort with multi-tasking and handling conflicting priorities
