VP of Sales

 

Description

We seek an experienced Vice President of Sales. This person will manage a sales team and drive the company and team to achieve aggressive revenue targets.

We enable online retailers to execute revenue-generating, direct marketing campaigns based on individual consumer valuations and forecasted willingness to buy. We gather all of a retailer's consumer data into a unique behavior bank, scoring each consumer and generating individual valuations by product or service. Retailer's and merchandisers use this information to drive highly targeted campaigns through multiple consumer-contact channels, with success metrics in excess of 20% revenue lift and 300% ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop a world class Sales team
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Manage overall sales process to meet performance targets.
  • Work closely with Marketing to create consistent messaging and process that leads to sales tracking.
  • Work closely with Finance to create internal forecasting for both revenue and new customer launches.

Qualifications:

  • An innovative, aggressive, and results-driven Sales Executive with experience selling in the SEM, SEO, Predictive Analytics, Behavioral Targeting and/or e-Mail space.
  • Experience in early stage businesses is desirable but more important is an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Cross-functional knowledge and experience working with business development, product management and engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Experience selling in multiple markets such as Shopping, Travel, Auto, Real Estate or Finance.
  • Ability to sell products or work in a consultative/solution sale capacity
  • Past record of success managing a Sales team to achieve goals.
  • Must have a passion for the industry. Should be a frequent reader of sites like TechCrunch, Silicon Alley Insider and MediaPost. Always looking for competitive knowledge and a competitive advantage
