Description
Is continuous integration in your bones? Do you shudder when a build breaks, and smile when it turns green? Do you want to work with open source software to build open source software? 10gen builds, releases, and supports a dozen open source projects, and we need a self-starting build and release engineer to help manage it all.
We take software quality seriously, and as build engineer, you will help 10gen maintain, extend, and improve our build, test, release, and continuous integration infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Manage and improve our MongoDB and driver automated build processes using SCons and buildbot distributed over a dozen physical and virtual machines. You must have solid Python skills and some working knowledge of C++.
- Monitor builds, and implement practices to ensure that builds stay green
- Evangelize and implement development, build, and release best practices
- Ensure that all our releases are stable, well-packaged, and conform to platform expectations (across a variety of UNIX platforms, Windows, and OS X).
What we offer
- A lively startup environment, where tactics and strategy are necessarily always changing. You should come ready to voice your opinions and help keep us on a track to success.
- We live and breathe open source, and will ask you to use, improve, contribute to, and create new open source software. If you make something awesome, share it at a conference or meetup!
- A brand new Mac of your choice or fully-loaded Linux PC with widescreen displays
- All the usual benefits: salary, health/dental, 401(k), and stock options.
