Description
You are a hard-core kernel tweaker and optimizer, scripter and orchestration wizard, network, security, and storage infrastructure specialists. Your job will be to work closely with the core engineering team to develop best practices, validate & optimize infrastructure configurations, develop automation and help our customers build and engineer state of the art deployments. You must have direct hands on experience operating modern high scale web based applications.

Your Duties:
- Developing best practices for deployment (e.g. HA, DR) and maintenance (e.g. expanding file-system, cluster recovery etc.)
- Understand the performance impact of kernel configurations, BIOS settings, NIC/HBA/RAID setup
- Understand where and how to scale
- Assist engineering triaging customers deployments, performance issues, debugging the full application life cycle
- Maintain linux packages and recipes for automated installers (chef,puppet)
- Document and/or provide input to documentation and white papers
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of system administration or development operations
- Day-to-Day management of a production cluster of 50+ nodes
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Perl) and with MongoDB a big plus
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- BSc in Computer Science
