Description
As a Senior Solutions Architect you will play a wide-ranging technical role with customers and partners. You will be expected to be a jack-of-all-trades, who among other things can:
- Work with Sales personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities, as well as ongoing technical qualification of opportunities and represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc; as needed take a leadership role in technical sales cycles
- Speak at trade shows and conferences and maintain a high profile in the community
- Contribute to business development and partnering through a combination of analysis of market opportunities, networking to engage meetings, and conducting evangelism meetings
- Provide architectural and advisory consulting for key accounts to ensure successful implementations
- Mentor other Solution Architects on both technical and sales skills
- Work with Product Marketing to provide feedback on messaging based on real-world customer reactions
Qualifications
- M.A. / M.S. or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years track record in software, including at least 2 years each of pre-sales, consulting, and technical management, and ideally including some product management, engineering, or business development
- Located in New York, with availability for travel ~25%
- Experience in scalable and highly available systems
- Good understanding of the web infrastructure and ecosystem
- Energetic, upbeat, tenacious leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
- Experience in a rapidly growing startup environment
